This is how the property appeared in 2009 when we purchased it.
The driveway was unpaved and the garage was detached.

There were no storm windows, no storm doors, the clapboards were in poor condition and the cape was not insulated.

No connection from the house to the garage.

We've increased the living space by nearly 1,000 square feet.

This is an aerial picture that I took in September 2009 from my 1946, Piper, J3 Cub before we connected the garage to the house, added the bedroom to the south gable wall, the deck and many other projects.

Using "cape" terminology, our home is a "full cape" or a "double house" and measures 38'X28'.

This room measures 14'X14'.

The ell off the back of the cape measures 16'X41'.

The room that connects the ell to the garage measures 20'X20' the garage measures 24'X24' and the driveway was paved, April 2016.

Allen Howard, married Elna Pherson, Tinks younger daughter. They both attended "The Brick School." The blacksmith shop was razed in 1972.

The porch is gone but we added a small bedroom off this wall and the maple is now a fully mature tree.

Postcard of Tinks blacksmith shop above and page three from the Milford Cabinet dated 9/7/72 telling of the "razing of an Amherst landmark" to the right. This was just one of Tinks endeavors, he had others too, like a portable sawmill and a wheelwright shop operated with his half brother Gustave Petersen.

A colorized postcard of the view south on the 2nd. NH Turnpike. Officially, Boston Post Road is designated as the 2nd NH Turnpike. During Tinks time it was known as The Mont Vernon Road. At some point it became known as Boston Post Road.
